How does the trial period work?

The trial offers full access to all app features for a limited time without any commitment. You will be notified on the sixth day of the trial to make a decision about continuing. If you choose to continue, the subscription fee will automatically be charged at the end of the trial.

How many child accounts can I create?

You can create up to four different child profiles, allowing each child in your family to have a personalized learning experience.

Which devices is it compatible with?

The app is compatible with a wide range of devices, including iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. It is also available on large screens such as interactive whiteboards and tables through specific school and classroom licenses.

Can I use it on multiple devices?

Yes, the app is designed to be used on up to five devices simultaneously. The subscription can be shared with family members by signing in with the same account on different devices.

How much does the subscription cost and how does it work?

You can take out a monthly subscription or a discounted annual subscription to get full access to all content. Once your purchase is confirmed, payment will be charged through your Apple or Google account. The subscription will automatically renew unless the renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the relevant period. The subscription price depends on the country of your store. You can pay for Smart Tales using the payment method linked to your Apple or Google Play account on your device.

How can I cancel my membership?

You can unsubscribe at any time via your Apple or Google account settings, at no additional cost. Below are the guidelines depending on the device you use:

APPLE

  1. In the App Store, tap the "My Account" button or your profile photo at the top right, then click Subscriptions. (You may be prompted to sign in with your Apple ID).
  2. Select your Smart Tales subscription then click Cancel Subscription.

GOOGLE

  1. Open the Google Play app. At the top right, tap the profile icon.
  2. Tap Payments & Subscriptions> Subscriptions.
  3. Select your Smart Tales subscription and tap Cancel Subscription.

STRIPE

  1. Log in with your credentials at https://account.smarttales.app
  2. Click on the "Manage Subscription" button.
  3. Cancel your subscription by clicking on the "Confirm" button.
How can I request a refund?

While we'd love to offer you an immediate refund, our payments are handled by some platforms which do not allow us to offer refunds directly.

How do I activate my subscription on my child’s tablet?

It’s straightforward. Just log in with your account on the other device, and you’re good to go.

I forgot the password. What can I do?

Don’t worry. You can easily recover your password directly from the app by selecting "I already have an account" and then "Forgot password", or from the site via this link: https://account.smarttales.app.

I paid for the subscription but the games are blocked

If you've signed up for a membership and are seeing blocked games, this is likely an error.
Open the Smart Tales app, go to settings and click on "Restore purchases".
If you need support you can contact us at support@smart-tales.freshdesk and we will try to find a solution promptly.

How can I sync devices using a Smart Tales account?

If you already have a Smart Tales account, you can easily access it from your second device (up to 4 devices) by entering your registered account credentials.
All your purchases, subscription details and information will be transferred automatically.

I am having trouble syncing my account

Using "Sign in with Apple" may sometimes cause issues when you want to share an account across Apple devices registered with different Apple IDs. In this scenario, it is advisable to create a new account using the traditional email and password method. Here’s how to do it:

On your primary device from which you activated the subscription, log out and create a new account using the email+password method.
Click on "Restore Purchases" in the settings screen. This will link your subscription to the new account.
On any other devices, log out if necessary and log in using the same credentials.

How can I delete my Smart Tales account?

To delete your Smart Tales account, go to the "Account" section in the Parents Area and click on "Delete Account." Alternatively, you can email us at support@smart-tales.freshdesk for assistance.

I accidentally bought 2 subscriptions. What can I do?

We are sorry for the inconvenience! If you have signed up for multiple subscriptions by mistake, we suggest that you ask for a refund and cancel the second subscription. Unfortunately, although we would like to, our payments are handled by some platforms which do not allow us to offer refunds directly.
